VAT tax on diesel fuel will remain at a lowered level until October 20th

The Government is extending the measure to reduce the value added tax on diesel fuels from 18% to 10% until October 20, 2026. As announced by Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska on her Facebook profile, the decision aims to alleviate price pressures on households and the business sector, as well as to maintain economic stability.

We are continuing with measures to protect citizens’ living standards and the stability of the domestic economy. The Government is extending the measure to reduce the VAT on diesel from 18% to 10% until October 20, 2026. Through this measure, we influence retail fuel prices and mitigate external price pressures, aiming to reduce the financial burden on citizens and the business sector, wrote Dimitrieska-Kochoska.

She added that the relevant institutions remain focused on trends in global markets.”We continue to closely monitor conditions in international markets and respond in a timely manner with measures that contribute to protecting the standard of living and economic stability,” stated Minister of Finance Dimitrieska-Kochoska in the post.
