Additional three million EUR from the Hungarian loan were made available to companies

The Ministry of Finance has transferred a new sum of 2.9 million EUR to the Development Bank, to support investment projects in domestic companies.

With this transfer, the total support of the Government to domestic companies reached 14.7 billion denars or 239 million euros, which is a significant incentive for the realization of private investments and a boost to the economy. A total of 250 million euros are planned in the budget for this purpose.

The funds aer provided from the Hungarian Export-Import Bank in order to stimulate an investment cycle in the private sector, as part of a larger bilateral loan Macedonia made from Hungary two years ago. The funds of the companies are placed on favorable terms with an interest rate of 1.95% and a repayment term of up to 15 years with a grace period of up to 3 years. The rest of the Hungarian funds go to development of local infrastructure and repaying the national debt.
