This is an international operation that is the result of long-term cooperation, coordination and exchange of operational information between the police and judicial authorities of the three countries. Through joint action, the activities of the criminal group were monitored, after which coordinated police actions were taken to suppress it. Within the framework of the activities so far, several people suspected of being part of the international criminal group have been arrested, and around 300 kilograms of marijuana intended for illegal trade have been seized. The police operation is not yet complete.
Investigative actions continue throughout the day in Macedonia and Kosovo, as well as in the coming period, with the aim of fully clarifying the case, determining the role of the persons covered by the investigation and revealing all circumstances related to the functioning of the criminal group. Because the investigation is active, additional details on the number of persons covered, the manner of operation of the group and other activities undertaken are expected after the completion of the appropriate investigative procedures.
