Seven newly charged in a large marijuana smuggling case

State prosecutors informed today tha seven additional individuals were charged over the smuggling of marijuana to Serbia.

The initial arrests were made earlier this year, when it was determined that a large quantity of marijuana was taken from Macedonia and delivered to the village of Konjuh near Krusevac in Serbia. At least five transport were carried out in 2025 and 2026, and the smugglers used trucks that were already sealed by customs officers, removed the goods and replaced them with the same weight in marijuana.

Six individuals were already charged in Macedonia, and six in Serbia.
