VMRO calls on the state prosecutors to investigate Filipce’s allegations about Slavjanka Petrovska

VMRO-DPMNE notes that Venko Filipche has made serious public allegations regarding the procurement of helicopters and the contract that, according to his statement, was signed by Slavjanka Petrovska.

Filipche publicly stated that Petrovska “signed a contract for the procurement of helicopters that was 37 million euros more expensive, after the commission had reached a different decision.”These are serious allegations that must not remain merely a matter of partisan bickering. If there is evidence of irregularities or potential unlawful conduct regarding the procurement, the competent institutions must investigate the matter. “Therefore, we call upon the Public Prosecutor’s Office to examine the publicly stated allegations and accusations made by MP and SDS President Venko Filipche regarding potential criminal activity committed by SDS MP and former Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska,” stated VMRO-DPMNE.They add that such a scandal—revealed by Filipche himself concerning an MP from his own SDS parliamentary group—must not be ignored by the competent institutions and investigative bodies.“At the same time, we call upon Filipche to fully disclose the information he possesses regarding this and other cases and to submit it to the competent institutions; we stand ready to assist him and to demand that the Public Prosecutor’s Office act *ex officio* to investigate and resolve the matter.Public accusations regarding criminal contracts worth—as Filipche himself stated—37 million euros must not become a tool for inter-party score-settling; instead, they must undergo institutional scrutiny and be addressed before the public.It is positive that Filipche has found the courage to speak out about those within the SDS camp who have transgressed the law; we support and encourage him to reveal everything he knows about Petrovska’s 37-million-euro criminal affair.The Public Prosecutor’s Office must act urgently and open a case, because there must be justice and accountability for this crime,” reads the statement from… VMRO-DPMNE.
