
The local elections began today with early voting for citizens who requested to vote at home, due to illness, as well as for prisoners.
The State Electoral Commission informed today that by 20:30, over 7,930 people voted at home, and 1,400 voted in the prisons. There were a total of 8,848 citizens who asked to vote at home, and 2,162 registered voters serving out prison sentences.
SEC President Boris Kondarko said that the early voting is proceeding without any interruptions.
