Ali Ahmeti is seriously concerned about the information that can come out of his deputy Artan Grubi, warns the VLEN party. Grubi expects his trial to begin in 10 days, and he faces a lengthy prison sentence over massive corruption in the state lottery company.
Grubi was the black box of DUI. He knows who pulled the strings, who made the deals and in whose pockets did the money from the gambling business end up. That is why Ahmeti has reason to sleep with one eye open, said VLEN.
DUI condemned the charges against Grubi, calling them a political process. Grubi fled the country shortly before the investigation into the Lottery company was announced, but returned after 14 months and is currently in house arrest.
It won’t be the first time that a close associate stabs Ahmeti in the back. He has reason to be afraid. Grubi won’t be able to flee the country again, VLEN added.
