On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the execution of the great VMRO hero Aleksandar Turundzev, opera singer Igor Durlovski promoted the video with his performance of the legendary song dedicated to Turundzev.
The performance is a tribute and gratitude to the feat that remains an eternal symbol for Bitola and Macedonia. This is a song that reminds us that heroes live in our musical memory, Durlovski wrote on his Facebook profile.
Turundzev was organizer of the resistance against the Ottomans in the areas of Lerin and Bitola. Captured in 1904, after a betrayal from a villager, he was publicly executed in Bitola in 1905.
Durlovski performs the song accompanied by Nikolce Micevski on piano. The production is done by XL Studio Momiroski, while the video is by Nikolay Grncarov.
