Huge fire threatens village near Bitola

Firefighters are battling a major fire in Loznani, in the municipality of Mogila near Bitola.

A line of fire kilometers long developed near the village, and reinforcements had to be sent to the local firefighters. Houses in the village are in danger.

Bitola firefighters and some of the locals helped prevent a disaster on the initial approach. The threat continues as the fire is coming down the hill from a different side toward the village, said Stojance Angelov from the State Rescue Directorate.
