As a result of a successful coordinated investigation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the administrator of the illegal online marketplace “OLVX”—which offered stolen personal data, access credentials, and tools for committing cybercrimes—has been identified.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Cybercrime and Digital Forensics Department has filed criminal charges with the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tetovo against E.A. (20) from Golema Rechica near Tetovo, based on reasonable suspicion of the criminal offenses of “computer fraud,” “misuse of personal data,” and “production and distribution of child pornography.” The operation stemmed from initial information received from the FBI, followed by a joint, coordinated investigation aimed at uncovering and suppressing criminal activities linked to the illegal “OLVX” online marketplace.
According to the evidence obtained, between 2023 and 2025, the suspect administered domains and websites associated with the “OLVX” platform, which served as an illegal marketplace for the sale of stolen digital data, software tools, and services intended for the commission of crimes. The platform’s primary users were cybercriminals who bought and sold personal data and access credentials for user accounts and victims’ computer networks. During the platform’s period of operation, over 1,500 stolen access credentials were offered.
The investigation further established that, between 2025 and 2026, the suspect administered an illicit online group named “ONEMILI” on the Telegram messaging app. Through this group, services and software tools for committing cybercrimes—including fraud involving illegal fund reversals—were offered.
Additionally, evidence was obtained showing that the suspect acquired and possessed child sexual abuse material via Telegram.
This operation marks the first joint, coordinated cyber operation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FBI, underscoring the importance of international police cooperation in detecting and combating modern forms of organized cybercrime. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, through the Sector for Computer Crime and Digital Forensics, remains firmly committed to the fight against cybercrime, the protection of personal data, and the safety of citizens in the digital space.
Successful cooperation with the FBI represents a significant step in strengthening capabilities to combat transnational cybercrime and sends a clear message that the digital space must not be a haven for criminal activities.
