A surprise April snow fell across Macedonia today. Besides the mountains, even lower elevation areas saw a flurry of snow.
Around lake Ohrid, the snow was intense enough to cover the ground. Trucks were banned from traversing some of the more critical mountain passes, like Gjavato near Bitola, to avoid accidents.
