Government asks Parliament to dismiss chief prosecutor Kocevski

The Government today approved a proposal to replace chief public prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski. This is a second such attempt – the first was stopped in the aftermath of the Kocani nightclub disaster.

Government spokeswoman Marija Miteva said that Kocevski has made major professional omissions that have undermined the efficacy of the office and has publicly shared information about judicial processes without authorization. The Government calls on he Parliament to remove Kocevski from his position.
