Eight patients treated for West Nile fever, one is in critical condition

An elderly patient who contracted the West Nile fever in hospitalized in the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Skopje and is in life threatening critical condition.

The clinic informed that the 76 year old patient had to be admitted to the intensive care unit and is on respiratory support with serious brain inflammation. The other seven patients treated for this mosquito borne disease are in stable condition.
