Economic cooperation between the two countries and U.S. support for Macedonia’s reform processes were the focus of a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski and Nicole Varnes, the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Macedonia.
Nikoloski and Varnes noted that economic ties between the two nations are strong and that trade exchange is showing a positive trend. During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nikoloski emphasized that the Government’s development policies are aimed at economic growth, specifically through the implementation of major capital projects that foster regional connectivity and integration. He added that the construction of the highways along Corridors 8 and 10-d is proceeding at an excellent pace and in line with scheduled deadlines, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport.
Both officials welcomed the strategic partnership between the two countries, highlighting it as a guarantee of stability for both the nation and the region. The meeting concluded that Macedonia and the United States enjoy excellent bilateral relations, with a strong commitment to further enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
