Two firefighting planes and one helicopter were active against forest fires near lake Prespa, Zelino and Erebino east of Tetovo and in the area of Prilep. The DZS center reports that the fires are not endangering homes and that there are sufficient firefighting teams on the ground.
Meanwhile, temperatures continue to climb, reaching highs above 40 in much of Macedonia. This heatwave is expected to continue until Saturday.
