A government delegation led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski is currently in the United States, where, among other engagements, they attended the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Following yesterday’s session, Mickoski noted the focus of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly—attended by world leaders—on revitalizing global cooperation, providing a crucial boost to the Sustainable Development Goals, and fostering collective action for peace, dignity, and equality on a healthy planet.
The delegation is also scheduled to participate today in a meeting of European Union and Western Balkans leaders, reported the MIA special correspondent from New York. The meeting is being chaired by Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
Ahead of the meeting, Macedonian Prime Minister Mickoski called for the involvement of EU representatives to help improve the dialogue regarding differences with Bulgaria Prime Minister Mickoski also reported that positive signals are emerging from the European Union, particularly following the EU-Western Balkans summit in Tivat, which saw the launch of an initiative by Germany and France to reform the enlargement process.
