AHV checks the New Year’s packages – in two found products with expired expiration date

Inspectors from the Agency for Food and Veterinary Medicine (AHV) last week carried out extraordinary inspections in warehouses for packing New Year’s packages, markets and shops that sell New Year’s packages.

Within the 62 controls carried out, it was determined that 4 operators had improperly marked packages. In the case of 3 types of packages, it was found that the collective package does not have an expiration date, that is, the date of minimum durability of the products contained in the New Year’s package, which is why they were ordered to be withdrawn from circulation. A review of the contents of 62 Christmas packages was carried out. In 2 packages, expired products were found, as well as with a short expiration date until 12.2024. Organoleptic changes of the products in the collective packages that have an established shelf life have also been noted,” informs the AHV.

The operators where non-conformities were found were ordered to withdraw the packets from circulation and destroy them. For the ascertained irregularities, decisions have been issued to remove the non-conformities, and appropriate misdemeanor charges have been issued.
