New FDI investment cycle across the country

With new projects, new production capacities and new jobs, the investment cycle in Macedonia continues, and the Government led by VMRO-DPMNE continues to actively work on creating conditions for investments that bring production, modern technologies, exports and long-term economic growth.

The Tetovo industrial zone will soon include a factory from “Dzhavo Otomotiv”, a multinational company with more than 40 years of experience in the automotive industry. The company plans to invest around 21 million euros in the period until 2030, with the potential to create 400 to 500 new jobs and annual exports of around 45 million euros.

The construction of the “Cagataj Kablo” factory has already begun in the Skopje 1 industrial zone, which is an investment worth around 6 million EUR in a production capacity of 10,000 square meters that should provide up to 200 new jobs.
Kicevo is also becoming a center for new and technologically advanced investments, with the construction of the Belgian Avesta battery plant, intended for the production of electronic batteries for cars.

Interest in investment is expanding to other high-tech sectors, with announcements from Epsotech for a development and research center and the American Webtech for the production of brakes for rail vehicles. It is particularly important that the interest in investment is no longer limited to the automotive industry. A Turkish and German company from the high-tech sector have confirmed investments totaling around 80 million euros, with the potential for around 1,000 new jobs and joint exports of over 200 million euros.

In addition, negotiations have been completed with three foreign companies that plan to open factories in Macedonia in the automotive, high-tech and pharmaceutical industries, and in parallel, talks are underway with about ten more companies from different sectors. A new investment impulse is also expected in telecommunications. “4iG”, which received the license for the third mobile operator, plans to invest more than 100 million euros in the development of the new operator, which will increase competition, and provide citizens with new services and more opportunities.

All these projects are confirmation that Macedonia is becoming increasingly attractive to investors and that the economy is moving towards greater diversification, modern production and sectors with high added value. The government led by VMRO-DPMNE will continue to work with domestic and foreign companies and create conditions for Macedonia to be a competitive and desirable destination for new investments.
