Mickoski: we are investigating a number of cases of corruption in the public institutions

Several suspected cases of corruption within public institutions are currently being monitored, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski revealed, following a recent incident in which a deputy director of a department in the Customs Bureau was caught with more than 17,000 EUR in bribes. Mickoski sent a chilling message to public officials who are corrupt, that the yare being watched.

We are monitoring several other cases of corruption within institutions and are waiting for the moment they actually take what they have demanded from citizens. I urge citizens to report this! There are reports regarding several cases in institutions, Mickoski said.

The Prime Minister obviously did not disclose which institutions are involved or how many individuals are implicated in the reports, other than to say that they will be caught when they take the bribe.
