Gas prices go down by 5 denars, diesel prices remain the same

Starting at midnight, gasoline prices will decrease by five denars per liter, while the price of diesel will remain unchanged. This is stipulated by the latest decision of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), which reduces the retail prices of petroleum products by an average of 1.89 percent. The new prices will take effect on October 27, starting at 00:01.

Under this decision, the price of EUROSUPER BS-95 will drop by five denars to 91 denars per liter, while EUROSUPER BS-98 will be sold at 93 denars per liter—also a reduction of five denars. In contrast to gasoline, the price of EURODIESEL remains unchanged at 99 denars per liter. The price of extra-light household oil will decrease by half a denar, bringing it to 110 denars per liter. Conversely, the price of fuel oil (mazut) will increase by 0.694 denars, resulting in a new price of 54.273 denars per kilogram.

According to the ERC, the price adjustments are a result of market trends in global petroleum product markets and changes in the exchange rate of the denar against the US dollar. Compared to the previous calculation, the reference prices for gasoline on global markets have decreased by 8.12 percent, while a slight increase of 0.404 percent has been observed for diesel. The price of extra-light heating oil shows a decrease of 0.074 percent, whereas the price of fuel oil has risen by 2.06 percent.
