Macedonian police helped France seize 68 kilograms of cocaine

As a result of successful international police cooperation and the timely exchange of operational intelligence by the Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Interior, 68 kilograms of cocaine were seized in France at the Fontaine toll station. The drugs were discovered in a freight vehicle driven by a Macedonian national, M.F. (44).

The seizure stems from operational intelligence provided by the Criminal Police Department—specifically the Unit for Illicit Drug Trafficking—which was relayed to the relevant French authorities through the Sector for International Police Cooperation and Europol. The Ministry of Interior reports that this marks the second successful international operation within a single month; a previous joint effort with the Greek police resulted in the seizure of 324 kilograms of marijuana.

These outcomes underscore the effectiveness of international police cooperation and the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing commitment to combating organized crime and illicit drug trafficking.
