The case involving two deceased individuals found at the “Icheva Cheshma” (Icheva Fountain) site in Bogdanci is being investigated as a homicide and suicide, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed. The individuals involved are 21-year-old V.G. from Bogdanci, whose body was found next to a burnt-out car, and a 17-year-old girl, whose body was discovered inside the vehicle.
According to information gathered so far, the two were a couple. The case takes on added gravity following revelations that the minor had previously reported being subjected to physical violence by the young man. According to media reports, on September 30 of this year, the 21-year-old was reported for physically assaulting his 17-year-old girlfriend at his home. Following the report, the police detained him and notified the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija; it was indicated that appropriate charges would be filed once the case was documented.
The two bodies were discovered on November 3, after a resident of Bogdanci reported a burnt-out, parked vehicle and a lifeless body nearby at approximately 6:40 PM. Police officers arriving at the scene determined that the body of the 21-year-old resident of Bogdanci was lying next to the car. Following the intervention of the fire brigade and the containment of the fire, a second body was found inside the vehicle.
