VMRO-DPMNE has responded to recent accusations from SDSM leader Venko Filipche about the allegedly dropping living standards by noting that Filipce, along with his mentor Zoran Zaev, spent the entire summer on Greek beaches aboard a luxury yacht.
Filipce has hypocritically stepped forward, feigning concern for the citizens’ livelihood. Filipce does not want Macedonia to develop or attract investment—such as the construction of data centers, hydroelectric plants, and mines—even though this would lead to a better life.
They oppose anything that signifies economic development, yet they demand higher wages. “Not everyone can make a living from the marijuana business—like the Strumica clan and Filipche’s associates; some people have to earn a living from other economic sectors, which they oppose,” states VMRO-DPMNE.
The party asks where Venko Filipche is when the cost of living drops or, at the very least, remains stable; yet, the moment he sees an increase, he immediately speaks up.
He is also nowhere to be found to acknowledge the Government’s successful handling and management of affairs when prices and inflation decrease—with inflation now at a historic low of 2.3%—or when Macedonia boasts the cheapest fuel despite facing one of the worst energy crises.
“Furthermore, Venko Filipche and SDS are nowhere to be seen when there is significant progress in capital investments—such as the construction of highway corridors—and substantial growth in the construction sector,” VMRO-DPMNE adds.
The party notes that although the economy has grown by an average of 3% or more for ten consecutive quarters since VMRO-DPMNE took charge of the Government—reaching 4.3% in the second quarter of this year—Filipche and SDS still have nothing to say.
