Nikoloski: traffic at the Skopje airport grew by 30 percent, and the Ohrid airport – by 20 percent

Subsidies for opening of new airlines contributed to a significant growth in passengers and opened new lines, said Deputy Prime Minister and Transportation Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski.

We have 24 new destinations since this Government was elected. Last year, our two airports had 3.35 million passengers, this year I expect we will see 3.5 million and we are heading toward 4 million next year. The Skopje airport saw a 30 percent growth in the first three months of 2026, surpassing the Pristina airport, and the Ohrid airport – 20 percent, said Nikoloski.
