Albanians across the Balkans, including in Macedonia, today marked the Day of the flag – or Albania’s independence day.
During what is often a nationalist event, in Tetovo today the celebration was marked by a horseback parade and waving of Albanian flags. The riders, decked in Albanian folk clothes, blocked traffic in parts of Tetovo.
