Two people were arrested in Sarajevo – they planned a bomb attack

Yesterday, the police in Sarajevo arrested two people aged 31 and 47, suspected of preparing a bomb attack, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of BiH informed, Telegram reports.

The mentioned persons are suspected that during the month of December, in a previously reached agreement, they knowingly and intentionally procured and exchanged explosive materials, the procurement of which is illegal for citizens, with the intention of assembling an explosive device for remote activation, which if activated would present a huge danger, causing a large number of human victims and material damage on a larger scale – say the Ministry.

According to the announcement, during the searches, the police found explosives, a remote device for activating explosives, bulletproof vests, a gun barrel and other items.

The persons were arrested, and after the complete documentation of the case, they will be handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Sarajevo.
