Two supermarket chains investigated for violating anti-trust laws

Two supermarket chains are facing charges for unfair trading practices, informed the anti-trust commission.

According to the press release, the two companies will face fines if the investigation concludes that they have undermined free competition in the country. Retail prices have remained stubbornly high in Macedonia, prompting the public and the authorities to suspect that retailers are coordinating to prevent reduction of prices.
