Businessman Mendi Qura declared victory in the mayoral race in Struga, even though the difference is just a few hundred votes.
Qura, a major real-estate developer, runs as an independent, but obtained the support of VLEN and VMRO-DPMNE, while his opponent Arsim Dalipi is from the DUI led coalition and supported by the Alliance of Albanians. Qura’s supporters came out to celebrate in the streets of the city.
