Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who was visiting Moscow, of “wanting to help” Russian President Vladimir Putin “earn money to finance the war with Kiev.”
Fico is close to Putin, and Slovakia depends on Russian gas supplies.
Zelensky said that Fico does not want to find solutions to replace Russian gas and ensure “energy independence of Europe”.
It suggests that “he wants to help Putin make money to finance the war and weaken Europe,” wrote the Ukrainian president of the X Network.
“We are losing people because of the war started by Putin, and we consider such help by Putin to be immoral,” Zelensky added.
Fico explained on Sunday that his surprise visit to Moscow was “a response to Volodymyr Zelensky’s stance on gas.”
Zelensky said Ukraine will not continue transiting Russian gas to Europe after the current agreement expires at the end of the year.
