The former pilot with a huge experience behind him, Kiril Kaevski told Telma on Sunday that the government plane is safe and there is no reason to buy a new VIP aircraft from this aspect.

In terms of safety, there is no need to buy a new one, because it is in a good condition. It only makes sense to buy it if more space is needed because in the coming period intensive visits of our delegations have been announced due to NATO and EU integration, said Kaevski.

This response from the veteran comes after the former lawmaker and current director of the Civil Aviation Agency revealed that the government was considering abandoning the old Learjet 60 and to buy a new one that would cost between 15 and 20 million euros.
