Lawyer Vasko Stojkov, who transported the prime murder suspect, Ljupcho Palevski, to Belgrade, has been summoned by the police for questioning. Stojkov claimed he drove Palevski for a medical checkup and denies knowledge of Palevski’s status as a murder suspect.

Palevski was arrested in Turkey based on an Interpol warrant. The Justice Minister has signed an extradition request awaiting translation before submission to the Turkish authorities.

Vanja Gjorchevska, 14, and Panche Zhezhovski, 74, were found dead near Skopje and Veles, respectively. Palevski, the founder of the Desna political party, faces charges of abduction and murder. Party members and Vanja’s father also face charges related to the case.
