US President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky in Rome, where they were both attending the funeral of Pope Francis.
In an improvised sit down at the basilica of St. Peter, the two leaders were seen in intense discussion. This comes after President Trump said that Russia and Ukraine are close to ending the war, with the help of his mediation, and again urged both countries to put an end to the slaughter.
