Two persons were found dead near the village of Miravce, close to Gevgelija.

One of them was identified as a minor Afghan citizen, who resided in Greece and was given an identity document by Greek authorities. The other remains unidentified and is also presumed to be a migrant who illegally crossed the Greek – Macedonian border.

Macedonia is on the main line of the Balkan migrant route, and accidents involving lost migrants have happened in the past.
