The Association of patients with diabetes called on the Healthcare Ministry to give up on its plan to open a Covid center in the Ophthalmology clinic in Skopje. Such centers are now being opened in nearly all clinics in the large Mother Teresa complex in Skopje, but opening one in a clinic often used by diabetes sufferers who often have eye-sight difficulties is an exceptionally bad idea, the Association says.
It is difficult enough for our members to preserve their health in such conditions, and they now face further problems with potential eye-sight loss, the Association said.
Diabetes patients have proven to be especially vulnerable to the coronavirus, and frequenting Covid patients to a cilnic alos visited by diabetes patients could prove very dangerous.
