Alliance of Albanians official Naim Bajrami condemned the Kovacevski Government and the Interior Ministry for the fact that there are no ethnic Albanians in the Tiger special police unit.

The Tigers are called an anti-terrorist unit, so we ask the Government and the Ministry if the Albanians are banned from joining it because we are treated as terrorists, or incompetent, or unwanted in this country?, Bajrami said.

The Ministry announced that it is currently preparing to expand the number of Tiger members. The unit fought with Albanian terrorists during the 2001 war, and suffered heavy casualties in the 2015 Albanian attack on Kumanovo.
