Twenty-two Afghan civilians, employees and associates of international organization “Open Government Partnership” and family members, who were temporarily transferred to Macedonia, have left for Canada.
This continues the successful mission of permanently resolving the status of the peaceful population of Afghanistan fleeing from the Taliban regime. Macedonia actively participates taking care of several hundred who have arrived in the country so far. Several institutions and non-governmental organizations are engaged in providing all assistance and support while they are housed in facilities in Skopje. Health workers, Red Cross volunteers are involved, and the Macedonian Association of Young Lawyers assists with legal assistance in providing documents required for departure to third countries.
