The Commission on Infectious Diseases recommended Wednesday to lift the indoor mask mandate with the exception of health facilities, nursing homes, pharmacies and public transport, as well as cancelling the epidemiological monitoring of contacts and the subsequent recommendation for isolation of contacts. However, the new recommendations and the expected measures to relax the restrictions do not mean that the pandemic is over.

The chair of the Commission, Aleksandar Petlickovski informed that the Commission after reviewing the epidemiological situation in the country, concluded that the current conditions allow to consider relaxing restrictive measures and recommends lifting the indoor mask mandate.

Petlickovski stressed that they expect the conclusions from the last and this session of the Commission to be accepted soon.
