Out of 3,398 COVID-19 tests carried out in Macedonia in the past 24 hours, 1,406 new cases were registered, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

New cases were registered in Skopje 627, Kumanovo 73, Debar 1, Stip 37, Prilep 98, Tetovo 72, Struga 17, Veles 55, Bitola 51, Ohrid 57, Kavadarci 40, Gostivar 84, Gevgelija 11, Strumica 30, Kriva Palanka 10, Radovis 9, Krusevo 8, Kocani 34, Probishtip 4, Demir Hisar 2, Makedonski Brod 2, Pehcevo 1, Berovo 2, Valandovo 8, Vinica 20, Delcevo 6, Kratovo 2, Sveti Nikole 11, Kicevo 10, Resen 13, Negotino 11.

21 people died, including six patients from Skopje (aged 77, 64, 74, 81, 73 and 74), three from Stip (aged 84, 70 and 62), three from Prilep (aged 51, 40 and 55), one patient from Struga (aged 64), four from Bitola (aged 77, 77, 79 and 74), one from Gostivar (aged 72), one from Radovis (aged 70), one from Makedonski Brod (aged 66) and one patient from Berovo (aged 85).

The Public Health Institute registered today 937 recovered patients from all over the country.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Macedonia has registered 50,015 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 29,583 people have recovered. The death toll stands at 1,397. At the moment, there are 19,035 active cases across the country.
