The members of the forestry police received boots after 12 years. At Friday’s event on this occasion, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Arianit Hoxha announced that by March 2021 at the latest, the forestry police will receive new summer and winter uniforms.

According to Hoxha, the government decided at a session to increase the salaries and rights of the forestry police officers after 22 years.

The Minister informed that over ten million denars were allocated for the procurement of the uniforms and boots.

We only carry out our legal obligation which means to provide all the conditions for health and safety at work of our employees. The forestry police officers perform their duties in the field and therefore it is crucial to have adequate personal protection in accordance with EU standards and international regulations, the Minister emphasized.
