The Government is temporarily withdrawing the draft bill that would allow trans-gender persons to easily change their gender in official documents.

First Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi said that the law will need to be amended after a trans person won a court case in Strasbourg. According to the initial draft, it would have allowed change of gender in official documents simply with a notarized statement.
