Several mayors from eastern Macedonia from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE today complained that they did not receive any help from the central government in dealing with the floods in their municipalities.

The mayor of Kocani, Ljupco Papazov informed that they organized a coordination meeting regarding the floods.

Today, the municipality of Kocani and I as mayor had the opportunity to organize an initiative coordination meeting with mayors from the east, related to recent developments regarding the floods, feeling that there was no support from the central government, we agreed on several things. First we agreed to establish local crisis headquarters, of regional and municipal character, we determined the operational plan that mapped the critical points that were hit by the floods and we determined the resources we have at our disposal, available equipment and human potential. In the end, we came to the conclusion that a commission for damage assessment should be formed and compensation should be sought for them, said Papazov.

The mayor of Pehcevo, Aleksandar Kitanski, also complained that they had not received support in dealing with the floods from the central government.
