The people’s will comes at the upcoming election. And the presidential elections are the first stop to the parliamentary elections when this darkness will be finally overcome. Although now they want to demonstrate power, they know that their arrogance and spreading fear is the true proof of their powerlessness. It will be written in history that the only thing they did was change our constitutional name and identity, which is a severe capitulation on all grounds. I have spoken a lot on this topic, but I want to cover another different light, said Hristijan Mickoski, the leader of VMRO-DPMNE at Sunday’s conference of the Union of Women.

He says the government rushed to send police to guard the road signs displaying the name Republic of North Macedonia.

If the people accepted a voluntary change of name and identity and was happy about what the government says, then there would be need police to guard the signboards. The institutions would have no work, the citizens happy and satisfied would’ve written down the new name in public places. But it is not so. They know that the overwhelming majority of the people do not accept and disagree with what the government did, as seen in the very referendum where the agreement was rejected, added Mickoski.

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE before the people attending the Conference pointed out that Macedonia is alive and it is not just a name, it is a way of behavior that defines our existence, its what we are and will continue to be Macedonians, and everything else is a process with ups and downs.
