VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski criticized the announcement from the Healthcare Ministry that sex change operations will be funded by the public healthcare insurance fund.

While citizens are crying out because of the poor quality of public healtcare, where the price is often paid in human lives, and the Government fails to provide a solution, we now hear that sex change operations should be paid by the budget. Sex change is a choice while curing a disease is a necessity. The right to life is more important than anything. No to publicly funded sex change operations, Mickoski said.

Even some of Zoran Zaev’s supporters spoke out against this proposal. The Mayor of Kumanovo Maksim Dimitrievski wrote a critical comment saying that the cost of the individual’s sex change choice should not be shared by all. Actor Dragan Spasov – Dac, who was recently used as a prop for Zaev’s promised purge of corrupt Government officials, joked online that he will get his aunt, which suffers from back pain, a free sex change, concluding with a crude joke.

Zaev’s Government includes a number of far left wing activists who have been pushing their positions on the ruling majority.
