The Ministry of Justice is set to prepare an extradition request for Ljupcho Palevski-Palcho, the prime suspect in the murders of Vanja Gjorchevska and Panche Zhezhovski. Palevski was apprehended in Turkey, prompting the collection of information and documentation required for the extradition process. Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga is expected to hold a press conference upon completion of these preparations.
Following Palevski’s arrest, the Skopje-based Criminal Court extended the detention of the remaining four suspects for another 30 days, as requested by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. This development stems from the investigation into the tragic deaths of 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska near Skopje and 74-year-old Panche Zhezhovski near Veles. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has initiated legal proceedings against five individuals, with charges ranging from abduction to murder and accessory to these crimes.
