Parliament Committee approves purchase of armored vehicles from the US

The Parliament Defense Committee approved the propsoal to purchase light armored vehicles from the US.

The procurement is estimated at 15 million USD, for a total of 151 Oshkosh and Stryker jeep and APC style vehicles. As a new NATO member, Macedonia was under pressure from the outgoing Trump administration to increase its military spending toward 2 percent of GDP.
