Aleksandar Rusjakov on Slovenia’s RTV “Obzorja duha” show dedicated to Pope Francis’ visit to Bulgaria and Macedonia, reacted to a news segment in which our country was presented as North Macedonia.

As a Macedonian, I have to react. I will never accept the name North Macedonia. For me, it will always be Macedonia. For me, this is and will always be the name of the occupation, because of the way it was imposed and because of a referendum in which the Macedonian people rejected that name.

The majority of Macedonians will never accept this zombie name North Macedonia, it is Macedonia and will always be Macedonia, said Rusjakov.
