The new State Video Lottery – NEW VLT will purchase gambling devices, i.e. VLT terminals, for nearly 228 million denars, i.e. 3.7 million euros. The tender was won by the company HTL Macedonia, owned by the Austrian company Novomatic, announced Thelma.

They should deliver 462 devices at a price of over 8 thousand euros per device from the Austrian manufacturer Novomatic AG.

The NOVO VLT company was established in April of this year. The owners are the State Lottery of Macedonia and the company HTL Macedonia. This means that NOVO VLT gave the tender of 3.7 million euros to its co-owner – the foreign partner of the state lottery. The Austrian company Novomatic, through its Macedonian company HTL Macedonia, owns MA Gaming and Masterbet, which have licenses for slot clubs in the country. One owns Astra casinos, and the other Admiral.

Through the Macedonian company Makoten, Austrian Novomatic owns the licenses for the casinos in the Marriott Hotel in Skopje and in the Flamingo Hotel in Gevgelija.

From 1997 to 2003, former European Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn was a member of the executive board and then a director of Novomatic.
