The agreement with Bulgaria is the root of the assimilation and negation blackmail directed at Macedonia, said VMRO-DPMNE, adding that it was with the Agreement with Bulgaria that the framework and justification of Bulgaria’s demands, which encroach on the Macedonian identity, was formed.

Unfortunately, contrary to the will of the people and contrary to the expert public, the anti-Macedonian Kovacevski allowed Macedonian textbooks and historical facts about persons and events to be changed through the Commission. The anti-Macedonian Kovacevski presents the “poisonous fruits” born of the “poisonous tree” called the Agreement with Bulgaria, as a success. It is shamelessness, non-nationalism and detachment from reality, the opposition party reacts.

The party says that if not stopped, this process will have no end, but instead leads to complete assimilation through new humiliations, blackmails or endless vetoes.

That is why VMRO-DPMNE calls for national unification and rejection of the agreement through a referendum.
