A wildfire, which broke out over the weekend in the vicinity of Krusevo, on Monday came dangerously close to a local monastery built as heritage of the famous pop star Tose Proeski.
According to the mayor of Krusevo, Tome Hristoski, the fire that was extinguished in the Krusevo region last night, again threatened the monastery at around 3pm today.
Around 200 people from the fire fighting units from Krusevo, Prilep, volunteers, and helicopters of the Army intervened.
Tonight firefighters and volunteers will be on duty and controlling the flames not to come close to the monastery.
