VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski said that the downfall of the Zoran Zaev regime is not a matter of if but when, as the people have had enough.
We’ve come to the point where there is not an ounce of hope in the public that things will get better. The people will have theirsay at the next elections. The Goverment won’t be able to help itself by offering deals or with its attemps to install an obedient opposition. All free thinking Macedonians will join VMRO to bring down this regime and restore justice, Mickoski said.
He acknowledged the constant calls for mass protests and but also warned against poorly prepared moves which can be abused by Zaev’s Government.
We know that we are approaching the time when the European future of Macedonia will be decided, and VMRO won’t be used as an alibi for a possible failure in this regard. We also know we are dealing with a dishonest Government, Mickoski said, referring to the constant politically driven trials and attacks on the opposition on the Zaev regime. Never the less, the opposition leader announced that mass protests are coming.
During his press conference, Mickoski warned the members of the Zaev Government who have abused public funds that “Macedonia will be too small for you to hide”.
We will not compromise with those who are responsible. No compromises with those who violated the laws, Mickoski added.
VMRO-DPMNE demands early elections that will take place in April 2020, while Zaev insists on elections no sooner than October, which is just two months away from the regular December date.
